F-O-X

yes, fox, as in fox news and fox tv... it is obnoxious lately because news corp, parent company of the fox corporation is negotiating with time warner corp, parent company of the bright house corporation for a new contract for the bright house corporation, the local cable carrier owned by time warner, to carry the tv programming produced by the fox corporation, owned by ruppert murdock's news corp... is this a feud between time warner and ruppert murdock (who mayb be the single most dangerous man in the world and would most likely be in jail if he wasn't a multi-billionaire, but he's far from alone in his methods) that is being played out in endless repetitive negative advertising on the fox network?...

watching the fox network has become unbearably annoying... every few minutes, with increasing regularity as the deadline for their negotiations approaches, there is an anti-bright house corporation commercial by the fox corporation... between these repetitive and annoying commercials, the fox corporation runs a message at the bottom of the screen that is remeniscent of a political smear campaign but worse, the message distracts from and blocks part of the picture of their own programming... and fox is telling all viewers to switch to direcTV... direcTV is one of time warners biggest competitors... ruppert murdock has controlling interest in hughes electronics which owns direcTV... dirty pool, illegal monopoly, conflict of interest, or business as usual in the usa?...

either way, consumers get screwed...

i stopped watching fox and could care less if bright house carries them or not because the fox corporation is annoying the hell out of me with their constant negative ads against the bright house corporation and worse, messages scrolling across their own shows...

so...

dear ruppert murdock,

stop interrupting your shows with negative advertising and maybe i'll consider watching your network again... negotiate your deal with time warner and leave me out of it, i don't even HAVE BRIGHT HOUSE...

sincerely,

an ex-fox viewer caught in the crossfire of your stupid war

of course fox news will probably blame it on liberals...

politics and big business, two of the best examples of human stupidity, overblown self-importance, unnecessary drama and worst of all, people shirking their responsibility and pointing fingers at others... thank goodness i do not have cable and seldom watch tv, it killed enough of my brain cells in my younger years...

hey ruppert... the future is coming

commercials # whatever

there will likely be many in the series of commerical complaints because stupidity is one of my most frequent complaints and commercials demonstrate stupidity so well, case in point...

i'd like to complain about inflation... i mean, it's getting way out of control... three hours ago i saw a commercial that warned me that funeral costs are going up and the average cost of a funeral was $5,000... $5,000 to dig a hold, buy a box, and toss dirt on top of you... and why the box, except for the stupidity of vanity and fears that dominate humanity... but that's not the complaint... the complaint is outrageous runaway inflation...

you see, i just saw another commercial, just three hours later, that warned me about funeral costs rising and the average cost of a funeral is not $7,500... inflation of 50% in three hours is utterly ridiculous...

yeah, stupidity, and people actually want respect...

yahoo farted

a long long time ago in a land far far away, or maybe somewhere else, i created an account on yahoo dot com and within the first year the account was somehow corrupted and yahoo support (which is a very misused word) told me they could do nothing and the carefully thought up user name (aka ID, alias, handle, identity, and so on) could not be used because they refused to clear the account and free the user name for me to use (not very supportive of yahoo support, aye?)... the first user name was sharetruth...

so i took the time to carefully ponder and come up with another nearly perfect user name (ID, alias, handle, identity) and the same thing happened again... yes, corrupted account, not support from yahoo support... the second user name was childinside...

so i created a third user name without as much thought cuz the whole concept of personalizing a user name (ID, alias, handle, identity) and almost ten years later, after creating hundreds of yahoo groups (actually created long before yahoo bought the company, egoups, which bought the company where i first created the groups) and spending many seasons playing fantasy sports achieving a relatively meaningless, but nevertheless impressive record, and creating much more supposedly permanent pages, additional aliases, an email address, and more, after almost ten years of devoting way too much time online to trusting yahoo, it happened again... that was more than a year ago... i have not been back to yahoo since... the third user name was yawhofarted...

i wasn't going to give yahoo a chance to fart on me again...

microsoft sucks

three hours to check the hard drive in checkdisk?... is it vista that sucks or microsoft just building sukage into everything they create?... excel hangs regularly... and everything seems to move so ridiculously slowly...

when I ponder the computer experience and the ridiculous amount of time I spend waiting for microsoft vista to reboot or restart after this or that program freezes for whatever reason, I wonder why I continue and almost feel like I am wasting my time, especially during the periods of isolation due to minimal or no correspondence and the written word seems pointless, though those feelings seldom last more than a few moments as the written word has been my best friend throughout this lifetime (waiting for the one)… people come and go, but the words remain… like songs… and the old song comes to mind again, but that's a blog of a different flavor…

anyway, even after all these years, waiting for microsoft to work right still sucks…

irresponsible adults

adults love to call kids irresponsible, but to see how dangerously (and criminally) irresponsible adults are, just turn on the news... i try to avoid the news, but tonight, a kid goes to the bathroom after school and when he comes out, his school bus has already pulled away... his sisters tell the bus driver, who reportedly tells them he can't turn the bus around... the kid tells a crossing guard as he's starting the five mile walk home along busy roads without sidewalks, and the crossing guard does nothing... the news asks the school representative who was responsible for the safety of the children on and leaving school property, and there's no one named responsible... so the kid is picked up by his father somewhere along the wroad on the way home after his sisters got home and told their father what happened...

i detest the ambulance chasing legal system we've got in this country, but in this case, someone on the school board should be fired for not having the right answer when questioned and someone at the school should be fired for putting that child at risk... if the kid had disappeared and become one of the many missing children in this country, would there be more concern?...

check the milk cartons, probably not..

google SPAM

crap comments with bogus links and no comment filters on google, the geniuses of programming search engines and filters and algorithms and they can’t build a simply filter into their comment system that blocks SPAM links to obvious SPAM websites with obvious SPAM words (oh sure, the same comment posted to a million blogs in one day is too challenging to block, right)… they just do not want to provide simple good service for whatever reason, probably they get money from the SPAMMers…

alas, corruption and capitalism go hand and hand, just look at government…

overdrawn at the food bank

too many are, myself included, and who cares, really?... anyway, diabetes or some other disease will eliminate most of the morons among us eventually and the strong, the truly strong, will survive…

humans

slowing down to see an accident, going to auto races to see crashes, watching boxing or ultimate fighting, gung ho warriors invading other countries, and the prostitutes pretending to be moralists all over the world as they sell sex and religion and soap and gossip and war and butting into other people's lives and corn flakes and judgmental false superiority and above all else exploitation of anything and everything with guilt and fear all in the name of making money and the pretense of family and god (in that order)...

and oh, how humans love to tear down their heroes... are people really so insecure that they swarm to the lynching just to somehow feel some false sense of superiority watching someone else fall or fail or get beaten, destroyed, or somehow get put down?... and the latest exploited target of all the suck-up faux-news media and gossip hounds is tiger woods... have you found this blog entry by googling for dirt on the once greatest golfer and one of the most popular cultural icons of the past decade?... is if cuz he's black? (oh sure, and is Britney or Lindsay or Letterman black?)... no, the bigger and more loved the star (and the more sex involved), the more ardor there is to take them down and tsk tsk them all the way to church on sunday cuz that makes you better than them, right?...

so afraid of sex, of reality, of truth, the human race lives in the delusions and fears and ignorance perpetuated by greedy power hungry control freaks for millennia... am I all that different?... yes, but I fake it well on the surface so you may never know…

the news

they take tiger woods apart, but is mel gibson teflon?... or are we so sick as a society that we prefer to destroy the biggest hero/icon we can find and all the others fall by the wayside… the news around here, so fixated on casey anthony for so many months, suddenly cannot go more than seven seconds without gloating in faux moral outrage over all the rumours about tiger mostly pushed by obviously gold-digging celebrity sluts who are basking in the limelight of their 15 minutes of fame for opening their legs… prostitution is so legal when there’s enough money involved…

that's right, you can't get enough of the sleazy titillation, can you america... yes, you lead the world in bogus moral self-righteousness and hypocrisy and it turns my stomach when i take it seriously so i don't...

I’d rather watch craig ferguson…

death, human view

fear of death has long plagued the human psyche, diminishing potential of even the most powerful human minds and along with other fears, may be the root cause for all that ails the human from war to disease to depression to divorce to whatever ails you... excuse me if i laugh at the serious morbidity of the human perspective, but it is how i see it when i am not sad for the limits people place on their own minds, imagination, perception, and understanding... anything is possible, so it is possible that all human fears are valid and all the worst nightmares told by boogiemen and religions and scientists and soothsayers may come true someday and i say, so what... why let any of it interfere with the experience of this moment in it's full potential?... no reason that makes sense to me not to, so i hope you do... if you don't want to (or believe you can't) overcome your fears and want to further the discussion of death and possible futures, here's biocentrism, which looks a lot like egocentrism to me, but then, i am not considered one of the leading scientists in the world... narf...

film nul

I used to find some amusement and enjoyment in watching old movies, but the more I watch them, the more I see how poorly made, poorly acted, poorly written, and just plain sad reflection of humanity they are… and I wonder if people were really as stiff and uptight and scared and stupid and unaware and easily manipulated and overly dramatic and shallow and paranoid and ignorant and… where did these film-makers ever get the idea they had any creativity at all, especially the writers and actors…

i'll get back to you on this one

wtf?

yes, wtf was taken and if it was not taken, i probably would have called this blog, wtf... so am i complaining about the name being used by someone who calls his or her blog the worst blog ever ?... apparently, since i am here...

but my heart really isn't in this one, so maybe it's just a grunt...

not just monty python

i mean, this is not merely a parody of complaints, like telling a disgruntled customer or anyone annoyed by anything something like

sure thing sir, i'll be happy to help you by referring you to mr. franklin in the the department of meaningless complaints will be happy to listen to everything you have to say...

but much more, this is where i shall actually come to complain about whatever ridiculous (or serious) thing i might be griping about (we can debate the difference between a gripe and a complaint, and an annoyance, for that matter, some other time)...

remember to ask mr franklyn for our daily special, which I believe today is as many meaningless complaint forms as you can fill out in an hour or two, in triplicate, for no extra charge...

can life get any more exciting?
