brighthouse does it again

ever since the move, just like the last time we moved a few years ago, brighthouse internet has been intermittent anywhere but in the same room as the router... it took several home visits and changing routers and changing the wall connection and changing the external connection to get the service to produce a strong enough signal to actually provide internet through the 1200 square foot space... way too much of my time was taken up by the crappy brighthouse fixes... and here we are again... i've got to set up a service call... the green light on the router that is supposed to stay on steady is constantly blinking... the internet connection is intermittent... and cable is down again...

brighthouse is terrible service... the cable continues to have the same problems over and over and over and over (and those are just some of the records of the complaints) ... we need the internet for our jobs and it will not work consistently... i so do not want to spend hours working for brighthouse for nothing like i did after the last move and other times... we shall see if the compensation for my time, inconvenience, and frustration is worth my time or if i finally give up on brighthouse and try a different cable and internet service...

news and weather

i am beginning to feel enough dislike (i really hate the word hate ya know) the news and weather media in the usa... it is madness and so very unhealthy, which is why i stay away from watching or reading it quite often... the fear-driven culture we live in has produced a society of adrenaline junkies afraid of everything and worse, unable to think for themselves... a clear sign of a failing culture...

what brings this meaningless complaint out today is the tropical storm isaac reports that have been pounding into millions of people's heads over the past week, especially the last few days as the news people are begging for the national weather service to call this storm a hurricane (in fact, the weather people have mistakenly called it a hurricane more than a few times, on the weather channel no less, where they are supposed to know what they are doing - and don't they?... they know scaring people gets more people to watch and rating and selling products is their first priority, not protecting people or providing fair and accurate reporting of the news... journalism is such a dead profession these days in the usa)...

and after hours of telling us that the 11am national weather service report should upgrade the storm to a hurricane (note, that's an upgrade - sick) again and again and the disappointment was obvious in the reporters voices and words, even questioning the national weather service making statements like "it would have been better if they upgraded to a hurricane"...

how shameful greed is so acceptable...

how irresponsible fear-mongering is so acceptable...

everybody be afraid, stop thinking, just be afraid and above all else - keep watching the news because we have very important commercial messages you need to see between all the fear-mongering reports we repeat over and over...

how ignorant will this culture get before it collapses?...

what kind of sleezebag is that guy?...

but then, he never had even a touch of class which is why they threw him off television years ago... he panders to the base hatred and ignorance in humanity and unfortunately, he proves there is still much of it out there and sadly, they seem to identify themselves as republicans... i would think republicans with any intelligence would not stand for such ignorance and personal insult, but then, perhaps that is the true nature defining republicans... i hope that can be proven wrong as they do make up about half of the usa...

I know I will be avoiding these companies, meaningless as that might be to them... freedom of speech is one thing, but I don't have to pay for a prejudiced porn freak's fetishes to be broadcast nationally... no wonder the USA is becoming a laughing stock and losing respect in this world, why should the world respect us when we don't respect ourselves or each other...

pain in the neck, but that's beside the point

yeah, i have a pain in the neck and it's nagging and getting worse over time, but what i really came here to complain about is you, that is, people in general... people are so pathetically stupid... and maybe it's just time passing in this life (getting old?) but i have less and less patience for people with each passing year... it took me many years to fit in (and i don't really, but i definitely do many stupid things regularly and often just like most people)... it's the daily choice to commit suicide in little actions, poisons, laziness, ignoring obvious dangers, cruelty, and becoming so insensitive you don't know when you are being insensitive, which is just about all the time... yes, that's just about all people and sadly i can now include myself...

i am most disappointing in younger people... i thought that even as one generation grew older and stupider, younger generations would not buy into the conformity of insensitivity and suicidal behaviors and might find hope for life, but more and more i see kids buying into the death traps of modern humanity... whatever happened to the hippie mentality?... not that hi[ppies were all that smart, but the hope of living in a loving world where people could learn to not grow insensitive and suicidal, where did that hope and mindset go?...

it sure wasn't passed on to subsequent generations...

google plus minus me

google plus is really ticking me off... i keep clicking on links that take me to a page that someone talking to me online on facebook or somewhere referred me to and find myself on google plus, only i can't do anything there because i am not a google plus approved member or whatever it takes to get in there and it's wasting my time...

whenever google plus does open their doors to me, i might go in, but this bad taste in my mouth will go with me...

i wish people were more honest, open, reliable, believable, and real... i wish people kept their word, followed through on promises, and actualized the ideals of loyalty, integrity, devotion, faith, and trust seriously in the real world, with each other, and not just in a delusional bond with imaginary beings... i wish people understood the power of hope, the strength of being true to self and one's own ideals... i wish people knew the power of wishes, especially when we can make wishes come true...

blog names

the irreverence of the title of this blog may have been tainted by an entry or two along the way cuz it is possible that an occasional meaningful complaint might slip out of my head and that in itself may be fodder for a future complain as valid as any, but on the other hand, with even the most profoundly meaningful complaint or story or thought or anything, if nobody ever reads it, how meaningful can it be... rhetorical questions aside, this complaint is about the shameless waste of great blog names...

imagine, if you will, a blog named IMAGINE... seriously, would that not be a perfectly exquisite challenge for anyone interested in writing a blog?... especially a blog that has some imagination...

imagination, you say?... you see, it seems that back in 2000 when blogger began, some clever kids stopped by with the idea of creating a blog and they scooped up some of the absolutely most bestest blog names and then, NEVER USED THEM...

yes, shouting in bold, this obviously strikes the blogger's nerve...

people come along and kill great ideas and leave them for others to trip over, like so many dead bodies on the web, and we can do nothing with the corpses except ignore them...

later, i may expand on this as i am searching for some blog names for new blogs (yes, more new blogs... cuz every idea deserves a blog, even the not so great ones... thing is, the idea and the blog must CONTINUE dangit... unless, of course, the blog writer dies and did not make arrangements for anyone to have the password to continue, or at least pass the blog on to someone who wants to continue)...

NEW RULE!... in order to create a blog, every blogger must create an entry scheduled for five years in the future... that entry must contain the bloggers current and valid user name and password to that blog... if the scheduled date is approaching and the blogger is still alive and active, the scheduled date should be changed to another future scheduled date so that when the blogger does finally die or abandon the blog name, another can continue the blog or use the name (under stipulation that the previous incarnation of blog with that name is preserved in archives)... yes, this is the first rule of blogging in the universe...

i'll let you know when my universe opens...

worse than wasting the name are the bloggers who did not leave comments on when they abandoned their blogs... so no one can leave a comment encouraging them to use the blog or beg for transfer of the name to someone (like me) who wants to use the name... shameful waste, typical of humans who must have the lowest level of insight and forethought, not to mention awareness, conscious or not, and imagination, of any sentient species in any universe (though the vogons and a few others could possibly have humans beat in some areas)...

yes, even the promising title musings from the imagine nation (circa 2004) is empty, a clear sign of the void between human ears (you do see how this particular complaint can rant on indefinitely and grow into a series of books based on the foibles and carelessness of bloggers, no less writers and nomenclature specialists (and amateurs) everywhere, don’t you?… shhhhh, don’t tell anyone cuz they’ll steal the idea and make millions and not even thank me with a based on the idea by… credit or a percentage of the gross… so I hereby and forthwith copyright all creative writes to the concept, idea, thought, and any tangible production of the flow of words that could be based on (however loosely) this initial complaint (this claim to rights is all inclusive, that is to including book, magazine, graphic novel, film, movie, internet, ebook, music, painting and art in any medium, and bathroom reading rights and not excluding any rights that I did not list here)…

meanwhile, back in the stupid waste of great blog name wars (not to be confused with star wars, which I lay no claim to), even the unknown bianca (who I do not believe to be a breath freshening product), left the modified imagine-nation (the hyphen has saved many a great blog name from obscure death) to fallow and squander in oblivion since 2005… what may be an even more frightening sign of the emptiness between human ears is that I was just the twelfth (yes, 12th) person even looking to use the blog name since it was so carelessly killed by the one simply known as bianca…

it just gets worse the more you look… even the precious name imagina (which has so many wondrous {and devious} possibilities on so many levels, even if your name is not gina) was absconded back in 2001 by a spaniard! no less (or at least someone writing in what appears to be some sort of Spanish looking language), which was clearly a warning from the princess bride not headed in the blogosphere by jules rimet, IF that is his real name and photo (and don’t let his name fool you, he is obviously a spaniard by any measure of the imagina) so brazenly flaunting his minimal use of the name (not to mention his obvious distain for any english speaking audience in his deliberate choice to avoid using the blogger translation feature)… of course if there is cleverness sprinkled through his few hundred entries he might be forgivable, especially if he is still living and willing to turn over the great name to someone who can make sufficient mockery use of it… but since he almost commits the criminal sin of abandonment without linkage or commentary (note the broken link in the most recent entry), forgiveness might take some groveling, naturally, however I did find a sneakily hidden link to comments just above the title of his entries that allowed me to leave a comment (which I courteously translated into Spanish for him using free translator service which is part of the wonderful free language services offered by itools.com, proud sponsor of meaningless complaints, this free complaint blog you are reading, even if they don’t know it yet, even if you are not reading it yet)… not to mention the double and triple entendres, aye?...

yes, I know…

and now, like any good dog chasing it’s tail, or tale, for that matter, we’ll leave imaginea alone for the moment (in spite of the brazen theft of the name of my home continent, but that’s another story... i was at least able to simply leave a comment, though in what language i'd have had to translate it, well... as i said, we'll leave these complications for another time), though surely goodness and mercy and more is bound to follow in this theme, at the moment I will upload this entry and move along to the next distraction in my adhd journey through life, liberty, and the pursuits of whatever comes along…

once again tragedy caused by human stupidity brings me to yet another meaningless complaint... it was bad enough that the father of the nigerian boy who was able to get on a plane and nearly blow the plane up called and warned his government and the usa cia about his son who basically told his father 'goodbye' as in 'i will never see you again' (a suicide note type conversation), which did get his son on the usa 'watch list' for possible terrorists (along with 500,000 other potential terrorists), but the security machines, homeland security, the cia, and so on did nothing and the plane would have blown up if the kid knew what he was doing with explosives...

military intelligence may be the ultimate oxymoron...

as is the pattern, the paranoid war hawks who support the big business of war (because it's good for the bottom line and pays for their luxuries which they naturally deserve because they work so hard to protect us from threats they ignore and if we look deeper, actually created in the first place... but most people appear to be may be too stupid to see the obvious) are screaming about limiting our rights and invading our provacy all the more because the only solution they see is totalitarianism and they use terrorists to inch us toward their supreme rule over us... and we are too stupid to call them on their incompetence and fire them... i mean, if you hired a doctor to monitor your heart and he saw a potential danger on your eekg and took no action and you had a heart attacke, you'd not only fire that doctor, but you'd sue him (because lawyers have you trained like salivating dogs to sue doctors)... but the people we pay to protect us hear about potential threats, do nothing, and something like 9-11 happens and what do we do?... we buy the excuses the leaders ell us and rally round the flag and spend trillions of dollars (that we borrow from the chinese and others who are quitely taking over our country economically) on wars that no one can win and ultimately, just fuel the differences between nations and delusional systems of belief that are fundamentally the same...

we won't even get into the voice of reason, rush limbaugh, who is a self-confessed drug addict (rush, a junkie?... never, he's too rish, well connected, and conservative to be looked down upon as most other drug addicts are), or how many people live and die by his word (that he transmits into our lives through a gold-plated microphone) as if it is gospel because we must exhalt and respect and trust a junkie (excuse me, self-confessed drug addict) who can't even control his own self-destructive impulses... alas, further digression, let's get back to the point...

so today the smartest and most important intelligence agents we've got, the ones we sent to the source of our hate and fear, behind the lines to 'enemy territory' to 'protect us', these most trusted military intelligence agents let someone walk into their heavily guarded private secure headquarters and BLOW THEM UP...

yes, i just had to scream...

and now we'll probably rally round the flag and point fingers at the 'enemy' that we created by abusing our power all over their world for a hundred years because we could, and they had stuff we wanted... still do, actually... what?... what right do they have to hate us or fight us for taking their stuff and telling them their faith in their god is wrong?... would most of you not hate and fight me if i took your stuff and told you quite simply that your faith delusion in your god invisible man in the sky is wrong?... ah yes, dander may be up now... whatever would humans do without an enemy?... believe this (or deny it, but it is the reality you live even if you refuse to see it)... humans are so afraid to love, they must create reasons to hate... and all in the name of the invisible all-powerful man in the sky that they actually mock by preaching love and living hate... but i may digress (what, again?)...

yes, fox, as in fox news and fox tv... it is obnoxious lately because news corp, parent company of the fox corporation is negotiating with time warner corp, parent company of the bright house corporation for a new contract for the bright house corporation, the local cable carrier owned by time warner, to carry the tv programming produced by the fox corporation, owned by ruppert murdock's news corp... is this a feud between time warner and ruppert murdock (who mayb be the single most dangerous man in the world and would most likely be in jail if he wasn't a multi-billionaire, but he's far from alone in his methods) that is being played out in endless repetitive negative advertising on the fox network?...

watching the fox network has become unbearably annoying... every few minutes, with increasing regularity as the deadline for their negotiations approaches, there is an anti-bright house corporation commercial by the fox corporation... between these repetitive and annoying commercials, the fox corporation runs a message at the bottom of the screen that is remeniscent of a political smear campaign but worse, the message distracts from and blocks part of the picture of their own programming... and fox is telling all viewers to switch to direcTV... direcTV is one of time warners biggest competitors... ruppert murdock has controlling interest in hughes electronics which owns direcTV... dirty pool, illegal monopoly, conflict of interest, or business as usual in the usa?...

either way, consumers get screwed...

i stopped watching fox and could care less if bright house carries them or not because the fox corporation is annoying the hell out of me with their constant negative ads against the bright house corporation and worse, messages scrolling across their own shows...

so...

dear ruppert murdock,

stop interrupting your shows with negative advertising and maybe i'll consider watching your network again... negotiate your deal with time warner and leave me out of it, i don't even HAVE BRIGHT HOUSE...

there will likely be many in the series of commerical complaints because stupidity is one of my most frequent complaints and commercials demonstrate stupidity so well, case in point...

i'd like to complain about inflation... i mean, it's getting way out of control... three hours ago i saw a commercial that warned me that funeral costs are going up and the average cost of a funeral was $5,000... $5,000 to dig a hold, buy a box, and toss dirt on top of you... and why the box, except for the stupidity of vanity and fears that dominate humanity... but that's not the complaint... the complaint is outrageous runaway inflation...

you see, i just saw another commercial, just three hours later, that warned me about funeral costs rising and the average cost of a funeral is not $7,500... inflation of 50% in three hours is utterly ridiculous...

yeah, stupidity, and people actually want respect...
